Give! Kickoff at Trinity Brewing
Trinity Brewing graciously agreed to host our Give! Kickoff event. A great time was had by all, and all of the donations earned will be candidates for matching funds!
FMVP Members Raise Awareness at Steele School Turkey Trot
Board Members Judi Ingelido and Priscilla Engeln, and volunteer Barbara Frisbee set up a table with information about the Give! Campaign to get the word out about our fundraising efforts for the stonework. They set up near the Steele Elementary Turkey Trot on Saturday, November 19th so that people who were in the Park for that event could learn about our Campaign. In addition to those people, they talked about our project to a lot of people who were out for walks and runs in the Park that morning, and they handed bookmarks and encouraged people to donate to our cause. Judi even ran alongside the runners to hand off the bookmarks and to talk to them about our project and to ask them to donate!
FMVP Cake Ties for 2nd Place in the Give! Cake Walk
Give! participants strutted their cakes on December 17th at the Give! inaugural Not Your Mama's Cakewalk. The Friends 6-ft cake was a model of the Park and tied for 2nd place in the competition! In the picture below, board members Ann Brock (President), Cathy Mundy, Teri Peisner (FMVP Give! Co-Chair) and Bruce Doyle show off our cake.
